Reading is Life
Anyone who knows me for a minute knows I’m an avid reader, a complete bookworm. Reading has been my favorite thing since I read ALL of the Nancy Drew books in 3rd grade. In fact, the only time I really ever got in trouble in elementary school was when I wouldn’t hear the teacher tell us to put our “free reading” books away and move on to the next subject.
I believe this love developed from several factors: I’m an HSP, introvert, and I love to learn. Reading meets all of these needs in a spectacular fashion. I’m the girl sitting at the bar, with an adult beverage and a book or my Kindle. I ALWAYS have books on my nightstand. I typically am reading 2-3 books at a time.
I read fiction and non-fiction alike and have a combination of paperback, hardcover, and Kindle books. I’m a traditionalist in that I still love the smell and feel of a book in my hands. I conceded to a Kindle as it truly is the more practical choice. I especially prefer hardcovers for more “serious” type reading as I love highlighting and making notes in the margin. I do stop short of bending page corners to mark my place. I’m not a monster after all!
Do you enjoy reading? Are you an e-reader fan or do you still need to feel the books in your hands?
What are you reading right now?
I’m currently on Book 4 of The Mystic Cove Series and am loving it!
